Release

In “100 Shakespeare” we try to make synthesis skenes about his works. One puppet that lost his head is Hamlet, a sexy puppet that has relation with the public and provokes Otelo in his unhealthy jealousy, actors manipulators that have a dinner with the same puppets is Titus Andronics. This is the way of this performance.

We choosed to don´t do a classic read about the Shakespeare´s works but find interpretation about how the emotions in his work touch us; how we translate and interpret. 100 Shakespeare is our own work about the feelings that Shakespeare´s works build in us.

In this way to think, we made “synthesis skenes”, almost the time without words, about eight Shakespeare´s works: Hamlet, Merchant of Venice, Macbeth, Otelo, A Midsummer Night Dream, King Lear, King Richard III and Titus Andronics.

We still in the way to make theatre without the words; A way started with a physical and visual language since Flor de Obsessão (1996 performance, about Nelson Rodrigues).
